GWMCPL undertake the primary collection which is done from door steps of the households/ commercial establishments daily deploying handcarts, mobile bins, cycle rickshaws, three wheelers, 1 ton closed body tippers etc. as per the ground reality to ensure that the garbage is not thrown by them on the public places.
The vehicles are fitted with GPRS system for easy tracking of the time, position, movement to ensure proper cleaning as per route plan.
The segregation of refuse is ideally done at this door steps and given importance for successful disposal. Separating different types of waste components is an important step in the handling and storage of solid waste at the source. |
